Beginning in 1873 several
families and individuals left Blooming Grove and migrated to
Dawson, Nebraska where they formed what is now called the
“Pennsylvania Colony of Nebraska.” These families are as
follows:

the Catherine Ulmer (widow of Martin) families (1884),
The John Eckard
family (1885),
The Stoltz famiy
(1886),
and Ella, Emma and
George Eckard (1887).
